If you only have an hour and change, this is a nice quick intermediate loop through the Cheakamus Interpretive Forest linking most of the areas new school trails. This area is heavily used by lots of non-motorized users, so be sure to be courteous to others, keep your head up and your speed under control!

Running really well despite the record levels of rain in the past month

*COUGAR WARNING* Multiple sightings in the High Side area over the past week, suggest riding with a friend and maybe avoid High Side for a few days. There's been a lot of deer in the area too so it's probably just following dinner around!

There was a lot more water on the trail today compared with the last few days. Difficult to keep your feet dry with the puddles getting so deep on the last 1/4 of the trail towards the Microwave Access Road.

cleared out all the low drainage clogs to get rid of as much standing water and puddles as possible, holding up well in the wet weather. a couple sections require some more drainage work before the snow comes.

quick fixed a couple of drainage issues on the last part of the trail, will still require some further work to fully remedy. we're hoping to get a good trail day in yet before the end of the season to tweak a few alignments and work on some of the drainage issues.
