Personally I would never ride this the direction it's tracked.
You would then have almost 4900' of climbing and 2750' of descending.
Do yourself a favor and ride it the other direction.

I just put descriptions on each of the segments so take a look at those for specific info.
I'll just do a quick overview and directions here.

Total Length: 26 miles
Ascent: 2552'
Descent: 4894'
Trail type: Mostly single track and some fire road
Difficulty: Mostly hard climbs, one section I would label as very hard. Downhill sections are mostly intermediate, with some hard and very hard towards the end.

Park at the youth center on 585 and drive your bikes towards Angelfire.
When you see the giant covered wagon, take a right and head up County Rd.
After the golf course, take a left onto FR70 and head up the mountain a bit.
You'll go up some switchbacks, and you'll see a road on the right.
Take a left, turn around and park there.
Head back to that turn and start the South Boundary.

2 miles up in a field, you take a right onto the trail and climb some tough stuff for 3 more miles.

Descend the best trail section ever, Heaven on Earth for a few miles.
Then you climb back up to Garcia Park.
Climb a few more miles and celebrate! You're done the majority of the climbing.
Just small short climbs remain every now and then.

Ride slightly downhill for miles on the side of a hill, enjoy the smooth and straight trails, because they're soon to be replaced with gnar.

First you'll hit some twisty trail with short line of sight and plenty of root steps to mess you up.

As you get lower the trail moves into typical New Mexico riding.
Some packed dirt with tons of loose rock and shark fins to smash your rims on.

Rip this section fast and have fun, but keep in mind it can switch from packed straight trail to gnarly rock sections in a heart beat.

Finish up on Water Tank and take the road or the trails beside it back to the youth center.
