The Trans Canada Trail Route is the Cranbrook to Wardner Trail which is half rail trail and half 1.2 meter width gravel enhanced single track. There are a couple of short road sections near Wardner. The route starts at the Cranbrook Visitor Center on 23rd St. North and terminates at the Wardner Community Park.

From 1 km to 5.5 km from the IC Trailhead, trail resurfacing taking place with dump trucks distributing gravel and machinery working on trail. Work will continue until freeze up and resume in the new year at spring break up. reporter
