Trail has been reactivated through the efforts of some dedicated individuals. Be aware that much of this trail is in a Provincial Park, so please, DO NOT freeride scree slopes and retain the right to visit again in years to come.

As with all BC Parks trails, ride this trail with caution and be ready to dismount for horses and give way to hikers or other riders.

NOTE: At the request of Parks, please do not post times to the leader board for this or any Parks trail. Respect this wish and help ensure the experience of riding in the South Chilcotins will be available for years to come.

The GPS track does not show the best route through the rock fall section on Fortress Ridge. You need to descend below the rock fall to the big rock out-croppings below the ponds. You'll find a well defined trail there.

Thanks for the update, Craig. If you have a more accurate GPS, feel free to log it. I've never proofed this track, but know the trail and the ponds.

The track posted here is the best one I have. I just haven't found the best route through the rock fall section, down the hill, to the rock outcroppings.
