Take the trail down to the river and ride the dirt back up. Don't EVER swim in the moving water. This trail gives access to one of North America's largest commercially rafted rapids, The Coliseum during high water season (April to mid-June). At low water, a fantastic sand island appears for some 'cooling-off' time after the ride.
