This narrow road provides access to several trails in the area. It was built for logging and receives little maintenance. It is narrow, rough, rocky, rutted and bumpy. Just the kind of road mountain bikers like. It receives motor vehicle traffic and is adjacent to the creeks in areas so stay aware of vehicles on the blind corners as you may not hear them because of the rushing creek sounds. The grade of the road is probably seven or eight percent in most areas. It is well drained in most areas but there are a few spots where the dirt road has a clay like volcanic soil texture and gets very slippery and rutted when wet. Enjoy the geology from this road. There are ancient slumps and landslides galore in the area.
You can access this road from the Williams Creek Road on the north end or the Williams Lake Road on the south end.
