Marks drops off the connector saddle at the confluence. Designated as a hiking trail, Marks is narrow and is shrouded in Poison Oak in spring and summer. Though at one time there was a gate that made it possible to reach the trailhead effectively making a loop, the property owner has locked the gate to prevent trespassers from entering. Though the gate is not actually locked, the only way back to the trailhead is to hike-a-bike to Bessie Canyon and access college course back to the park. BE ADVISED!!

This trail is not open to bikes and dead ends at a gate. Highly recommended not riding this trail.

There is actually no sign indicating no bikes allowed (as is common in Toro Park). It does lead to a gate, but there's a path back up to the trails if you prefer to not pass through the gate.

I think you missed my point, but that's ok.

Note that local mountain bikers are working with the County Parks staff and Monterey Parks commission to sort our some issues at Toro Park. We have been asked to stay off Marks Creek trail for at least the rest of this season
