Rock Knob Trail Details
This trail provides access to the top of the "Rock Knob" - a high point of exposed bedrock which provides scenic views of the entire park, glimpses of Lake Superior, and far beyond into Wisconsin (on a clear day). In the summer, it's baffling to know that you're in a city, since you can hardly spot a road, house, or any other signs of civilization.
The trail itself is relatively tame: not very curvy and pretty wide, for 'singletrack', though it's not buffed-out smooth as a sidewalk.
From the Tunnel Trail, near the Hartley Pond dock & canoe landing, watch for trail signs indicating "To Rock Knob".
