Rock-n-Ridge #4 Details
This portion of the Rock-n-Ridge trail extends from Intersection #13 with the Sawmill, to a T intersection. At the bottom of this fun descent, a left turn takes you to the bottom of the Crist Ridge Trail, and a right turn connects to the Mowery Hollow.
Rock-n-Ridge #4 is mostly ridden downhill. It is debated whether this or Crist Ridge is the best downhill cross country trail in the Blue Knob State Park. From the intersection with Sawmill, the trail starts as a fast doubletrack downhill. The first portion is a grassy slope. After a while, the trail makes a loose left turn then drops into the "30 mph Rock Garden" where many pinch flats occurred in the days of tubes. There is then a short rocky climb. After that is a twisty, turny, ear-to-ear grin downhill.
