This freeride descent is packed with features, designed so beginners can roll the jumps while experienced riders can get some serious air. Experience Turbulence as you drop in, feel the speed through the Corkscrew and explode out of the Bombhole before lining up for the final approach. If it's your first time, we recommend checking out the features on foot before riding them.

Starts at the end of the singletrack cannonball run section. You can also reach this point by forest road.

Freeride style descent. Includes table-tops, drop-offs, a bombhole and large bermed corners.

I made the mistake of assuming that a Freeride/downhill trail would be rideable on a downhill bike. I really should have looked at trailforks before going since it is essentially flat, and there is no way to get the speed required to clear the features on a DH bike - in reality it is hardly a Freeride run at all. Was a nice day out nonetheless and I shall be going back on my AM bike in the future.

Runway's an alright trail, but it's the only reason for me to go to Carron Valley. It can be quite fast and flowey, and it's suitable for both beginners and more experienced rider as on most features there's a choice of how 'big' you want to go. However I do feel like the climb to get to it is a bit much for what it is, I think it really could do with a little individual path from the bottom of it leading back up it again.
