Silent Swamp Details
A fun, flowy trail, Silent Swamp is good to ride in both directions, but is much more fun in the Northerly direction, starting at the Fully Rigid junction.
To ride South to North, first ride Fully Rigid, then at the junction, go left onto Silent Swamp instead of continuing across the wooden bridge to Joy Ride. This direction allows for a nice extra loop that most people skip. Take Fully Rigid, then Silent Swamp, then head South back up the crossover road, ride Fully Rigid, then continue on to Joyride, to Northwest Timber and the parking lot.
To ride North to South, exit Preston Railroad trail, and head South up the crossover road. The Northern trail junction for Silent Swamp will be just ahead on your left. Then, at the lower Southern end junction, you can either continue down Joy Ride to the parking lot, or go up (!) Fully Rigid, which is definitely a good tech challenge. Watch for descending riders at high speed however.
