Steep chutes and roots early on, with some loose switch backs to keep you on your toes. High risk maneuvers if you decide to stay on your bike for early portions of the descent. A Summit Lake stop is a must here; it's easily one of the most scenic parts of the Pacific Northwest. Halfway through the descent, the trail open goes from singletrack to double track, but the speed ramps up and the corners remain very loose.
