This takes you from Old Peat Bog Trail down and across Sand Mountain Rd through the intersection with Wildcat Trail and then down to Old Sand Mountain Rd. Biking normally ends here but the trail continues to Ripka Trail. This is a challenging fun downhill across the rock armored switchbacks installed by Seven Mountains Conservation Club volunteers in 2013 to omit a fall line drainage ditch, making the climb (headed from south to north) an enjoyable challenge.
