This non-motorized single track trail is primarily a downhill run. Combine it with the upper Thunder Mountain Trail segment for a great downhill ride. This segment has a constant drop that will work your brakes. After dropping off the road onto the single track you will go approximately .42 mile and hit a closed old road. Follow that for a quarter mile and look for a small trail sign pointing downhill. The trail will drop off the road here. At approximately 1.02 miles you will cross the small creek and be on the north side of the creek from here down to the road at the lower trailhead. This 1.8 mile trail segment drops approximately 1,370 feet in that distance. The ride is through scattered timber, sagebrush, heavier timber, and grass. There are some short rocky sections with loose rock requiring caution.
The lower trailhead is at a small pole corral with loading chute on Lake Creek Road (02 approximately 2.54 miles above the Williams Lake North Boat Ramp. The upper trail head is non descript and marked with a small sign on Lake Creek Road (02 . The access road is very rough and a high clearance vehicle is necessary.
