Trailforks Trail of the Month: Zen
This month's Trailforks Trail of the Month is Zen, in the state of Utah. The community of St. George is near the Arizona border and is the hub of Southern Utah. Being located on the Jurassic, Triassic and Permian sedimentary bedrock gives the area its natural "red-rock" landscape we've all come to identify with mountain biking in Utah.

One of the most technical rides in the area, the Zen trail is one of the favorites among locals and is quickly becoming a top trail on Trailforks.com.

St. George is also home to the season opener of the National Ultra Endurance Series for 2015. Over 120 miles, the True Grit keeps racers on singletrack for 70% of the course. Definitely not for the light of heart.
St. George, UTAH
St. George is surrounded by mountain bike trails, if you need to warm up first or the Zen trail isn't for you, then the nearby loop of Bearclaw Poppi is a great alternative.
Another option in the area is the 11km epic that is Stucki. Not matter your ability, St. George is deserving of road trip.
The trails of St. George are maintained by the Dixie Mountain Bike Trails Association. Formed in June of 2010, they've been working with the community to maintain and build trails in the area.
