John is THE best mechanic in town! He has lots of experience and know-how and has always helped me fix whatever bike problem I bring to him. He's answered my questions and gone out of the way to get me critical parts when I needed them. Since I'm on a DH race team, parts break (not) surprisingly often and Get In Gear makes sure that I get what I need by the weekend I need it. He's waged phone wars for me when companies need a talking to or an answer needs to be found.
AND...of course he sells BEER! Go grab your dirty DH rig, take it in for a tune up, and have a cold brewski.

Finally a shop in the Charlotte area that doesn't give you a strange look if you walk in with a downhill bike. The owner/mechanic has been super helpful to me and everyone I know that has gone there with problems or looking for parts. Also definitely the best place around to grab a pint after a ride.
