2024 Wompy Winterfest (ride and fundraiser)
Fundraiser Details:

JOIN US Celebrate Winter with Friends & Family at Wompy Winterfest! Come on out to this outstanding community event to enjoy Wompatuck State Park with hiking, biking and trail running routes for all skill levels including families!

This year, the in-person event is also a fundraiser: 100% of your registration fee will help fund an Adaptive Mountain Bike for our own Ed Newell.

The DETAILS:
Time: 8:30am - 1:00pm
Location: Wompatuck State Park, Visitors Center @ 204 Union St in Hingham MA
Led group rides will roll out between 9:00 and 9:30 am
Free lunch available at the Visitor Center from 11.30 am to 1 pm (or until we run out)
If there is snow, and enough of it, we switch into “Snowpatuck” mode with trail grooming depending on conditions
The Self-Guided routes are available all month (see: https://www.snowpatuck.com/)

The COSTS:
Pre-registration $20 (member and non-member) (open until 12 pm on Saturday Febr 3).
On-site registration $25 (member and non-member) (open from 8:30 - 11 am)
Children under 18 are free with a registered parent or guardian.
The cost of lunch (first-come, first-serve at the Visitor Center from 11.30 am to 1 pm) are generously covered by the Friends of Wompatuck

**There is a self-guided portion of Winterfest that runs the entire month of February. Routes are available for Biking, Hiking, Nordic Skiing, & Trail Running. You can access them all via the Trailforks app, Strava app, or a printable PDF map (see: https://www.snowpatuck.com/)**

- Intermediate (slow) with Wayne Strohm (~2 hours/12 miles)
- Intermediate (women specific) with Kim Aardalen and Haley Urann (~2 hours/12 miles)

9:30 AM – Wompatuck Warriors Led Ride with Vicki and Mark Schow (~2 hours/14 miles)

11:30 AM to 1 PM
– Lunch is served in the Visitor Center (prepared by Steve Cobble and his sous chefs!)
Overflow parking is available at the Hingham High School Athletic Fields parking lot on Union St.
