Coolah Hidden Valley Classic 2017 event

Wind it up down the Goat Track & plough headfirst into a wombat hole... scare the hell out of yourself as well as the wombats. Maybe a leisurely ride through the Red Gums, whistle down Black pine Alley, bust your butt at Banshee Pass, scatter the wallabies on Piccaninny Ridge, perhaps a thrill on Stringybark Hill? Whatever your style, its one hell of a ride.

THE COURSE is 90% singletrack... smooth & flowing with rugged ridges, thick forest, shheep paddocks, gullies, smooth firetrail, grassland & more. Most likely there'll be kangaroos, goats, wallabies, wombats, feral pigs, goannas, banshees & possibly an idiot in a white ute... all to be avoided if possible. The track is 100% rideable for the average rider, not too intimidating or extreme... but don't worry, you'll know you've done it

START/FINISH at the Coolah Recreation Fround (toilets/showers) 3km south of Coolah on the Dunedoo Road (Leadville Rd) with plenty of grassy campsites next to the track. Hotel, motel, caravan park accomadation, food (dine-in/takeaway), club supermarket & feul all in town.

2/3, 1, 2 or 3 laps of a 30km circuit. Entry Fee: 20km - $55; 30km - $65; 60km - $75; 90km - $85
Registration: Saturday 16 September 3-4pm or Sunday 17 September 7-8am. Riders briefing: Sunday 17th at 8am.
RACE START: 8.30am Sunday 17th September
Entries Close: 11th September 2017. No late or on-the-day entries.

To protect this unique environment, entries are limited to 200 riders only. The course is on private property & can only be ridden one day a year (ie. during this event), so don't miss out. The event is run with the invaluable help of landholders & volunteers for community beneffit only.

If you're here on Saturday, there's plenty of riding opportunities in the area including the 13km Coolah Common Track (edge of town, suitable for all ages). If enough interest, there may be informal short course action Saturday/Sunday for little kids, big kids, anyone at all.
