Festival Details:

Prepare to be inspired!!

We’re on mission, and we’re riding into Palmy North sharing our 2018 collection of the best cycling short films from around the world with you.

Treating pedal punters to a treasure trove of movies with everything a cycling centric audience could want- action, drama, humour and plenty of inspiration; it’s going to be unashamedly bike-a-liscious.

Celebrating cycling in all its glorious shapes and forms, our 2018 collection brings to the BIG screen an ambitious mountain bike journey across the harsh desert landscapes of Oman, a New Zealand female road cyclist who believes in the power of bicycles, double-trouble with twin uni-cyclists strutting their stuff, an attempt on the record for the longest continuous bike ride in a single country (Canada) on a single speed “fixie” bicycle, Kiwi BMX riders with a passion to see the youth of today succeed, and the remarkable story of an American Cellist who challenges the notion of limitations by travelling over 6,000 kilometres by cargo bicycle ALL in the mix along with plenty of other bike stories that will be right up your alley, street, or hill.

This collection is a great reminder of why we love to ride our bikes; at its heart is showing real people being part of some pretty extra-ordinary stories.

Tales of character, hope, courage, discovery, courage, triumph over adversity, and much much more with the humble bike being the unifying factor throughout.

Listen to the voice inside you, it’s telling you to go.
Tickets from www.bigbikefilmnight.nz and from The Globe Theatre
