Date: March 2, 2019 - 9am - 1pm
Location: Bluff View (aka Rock Hollow)
What: We will be working on two areas depending on the amount of volunteers that participate.
The primary section is eliminating the sharp right hand switchback (heading downhill) on the west side before the connector to Bluff View. We've flagged a spot where we think a decent-sized table top could go. Descending riders will have an excellent line of sight and the landing is wide open. There is a nice ride-around for hikers/climbing riders and those that don't want to ride the top.
The other minor reroute was at the request of Wildwood. We have cleared and flagged the addition of a bit of trail which will include two turns to end the west side up at the north pavement crossing. This change will give riders a chance to see someone coming up or down the paved path and for those on the paved path to see riders before they appear at the trail crossing.
Where: Meet at Al Foster Trail parking lot, 225 Grand Ave, Glencoe 63038.
Directions: Take I-44 west to 109 (first Eureka exit, before Six Flags exit), then go north on 109 to Old State Rd, turn right then right again. Follow road to last parking lot.
What to bring: Gloves, Sturdy shoes, eye protection, and something to drink on the trail.
There may be a group ride afterwards - weather permitting, so bring your bike if you like.
