The Racker Spectacular and Chilifest will be Saturday 9/28. This is a recreational ride and potluck event at a private residence.
There will be multiple MTB groups, and also a led hike if hikers RSVP. For those not familiar, Racker has a mix of very technical, rocky trails and some less technical trails with a good amount of climbing. Historically, mortal riders on single-speed bikes have not enjoyed it Food and chili cook-off to follow with voting and prizes, along with a craft-beerfest. Feel free to bring a chili entry or other food if you like.
Ride time 9:30. There will be multiple groups of various paces.
Chili Time 1:00 for spouses/non riders list who would like to attend.
Rain cancels the ride but not the festivities
The Racker trail network is on Trailforks.
6 Racker road, Stafford, CT. There is ample parking in my neighbor’s field across the street on Racker Rd. Better parking there than on Racker Rd since it can be fairly busy.
