Race Details:

- EVENT DESCRIPTIONS -
DOWN HILL (LAKE SUPERIOR GRAVITY SERIES EVENT)
The Downhill consists of two timed runs, best 1 of 2 times wins. We will have practice runs on Friday night and Saturday morning before the race. Shuttles will be provided on Saturday. Awards will be given for the top three men, women, and junior (U1Cool racers. Timing provided by race volunteers.

SHORT AND LONG XC RACES
Steep climbs, rolling singletrack, fun descents, and riding with bats. Part of the 6 mile lap is through the underground mine. Because of the total darkness a helmet and a GOOD light are required for the XC race. The short XC race is two laps/12 miles, the women’s long race is 3 laps/18 miles, and the men’s long race is 4 laps/24 miles. Awards will be given out by age group and gender for both short and long races. The age groups are 18U, 36U, and 36+. Timing is provided by Superior Timing.

KIDS XC (Ages 5 – 13)
Test your chutzpah on our short kid’s course - it’s rocky, rooty, and probably even a little bit muddy. There is no entrance fee, but all participants must register before racing. Line-up by the registration tent on Saturday at 2:45 pm for a shuttle ride to the race start. Awards will be given for the top three shredders and little shredders. Timing provided by race volunteers.

ENDURO (LAKE SUPERIOR GRAVITY SERIES EVENT)
The Enduro is a stage-race format where the goal is to accumulate the lowest combined time from a series of individually timed sections. Our sport and junior (U1Cool enduro consists of either three timed stages. The expert is 5 timed stages. The transfers are not timed, but you will have cut-off times. Awards will be given to the top three men and top three women overall in the sport and expert classes, and the top three juniors (U1Cool . Timing provided by Superior Timing.

TRIPLE CROWN
Can you survive a weekend of riding at the mine? Awarded to the fastest male and female in the DH, Long XC, and Expert Enduro events. You must race in all three events to qualify
