They will also have; Burgers, Dogs, Chicken Fingers, and Fries. I’ve been to Jamaica five times, and their food is 100% authentic.

CAT 4 Racers - This race is designed to introduce you to the sport of mountain bike racing.  If you have raced in CAT 4 in the 2017, 2018, 2019 Challenger you will be required to move up to CAT 3.  The minimum age to race in CAT 4 is 9 years of age and the course has a "Sweeper".  The sweeper is an experienced racer who is making sure no one gets left behind on the course.  They have a radio to stay in touch with the Race Director and emergency personnel on-site.  All riders are required to wear a helmet, a bike with knobby tires, and have experience riding off-road.  The CAT 4 course loop is approximately 2.25 miles and you will complete 2 laps totaling 4 miles.  The course is tamed down (different route and shorter distance than the CAT 1,2,3 course) to allow racers to focus on racing, rather than obstacles.  If you would like to see the CAT 4 course, sign up for our mailing list at  www.challengermtb.com and join us on a pre-ride.

Racing Age - Racing Age is determined by your age on December 31st of the current year including XC Juniors. This is a new rule for 2021.  This will apply to juniors racing the XC junior classes.  When registering for the races make sure you select the proper age class.  Parents/Guardians - please take note of this when registering juniors.

FAQs:

Do you have a GPS/GPX of the course?  No.  Because our trails are very close together, GPS will look like spaghetti on your GPS device. You can feel free to join us on a pre-ride.  Look for pre-ride announcements on our www.facebook.com/challengermtb page, or here on Bike Reg.
What about Covid-19?  What protocols are you following?   We are adhering to NJ State Regulations.  It is updated as Gov Murphy makes changes.
Can I pre-ride the day of the race?  Yes, as long as you are OFF THE COURSE BY 8:30 AM.
You've added Endurance.  Is there still room for passing?  Yes.  Each year we change things up and look for ways to improve the racer experience.  There are several wide passing zones spread out over the course.  We believe we have found a great balance between awesome single track, and wide passing areas.
Can I register on the day of the race?  Yes, there will be an additional $10 charge for registering on the day of the race.  All day-of registrations are CASH ONLY!  There are 5 ATM machines within 1 mile of our venue.  Apple Pay, Google Pay, Venmo, and Paypal are NOT CASH.  Bring paper CASH if someone will be registering the day of the race.
Where are the good photo locations?  The Cheeseman chute, Molly's loop, double bridges, 'the ridge descent.  Look for a course map arriving soon.
