The Cutthroat Classic follows the iconic Pacific Crest Trail through some of the most stunning scenery the North Cascades has to offer.  This race sells out every year.  Register early

The Course:  The mountain course begins at Rainy Pass on the North Cascades Scenic Highway, elevation 4,870 feet. The route follows the Pacific Crest Trail north on a steady, gradual 5 mile climb to Cutthroat Pass, elevation 6,835 feet. Runners then descend 4 miles to Cutthroat Lake (many switchbacks on a 5-10% grade). The course continues gradually downhill for 2 more miles to the Cutthroat Creek Trailhead, elevation 4,480 feet. Total course length is 10.6 miles.

Start Times and Waves:  There are  6, self-seeding waves.  Wave 1 is for elite runners. If you wish to run with a friend, please be sure to communicate with each other and register for the same start wave.  Runners will be shuttled from the town of Mazama to the Rainy Lake Trailhead and back to Mazama at the end of the race.  Shuttles leave Mazama at 7:00 am sharp.  

Entry Fee Includes: race bib, participant packet, Cutthroat Classic t-shirt with artwork by local artist Mary Sharman, post-race lunch, 1 beer ticket, prizes and awards.

Kids Race FREE - Kids 17 and under race for free, but MUST register (includes signing online waiver) on time to participate.
