Festival Details:

Experience the best mountain biking in the Midwest at the Big Woods Brown County Epic Mountain Bike Festival, October 7-9, 2022. Located in Brown County, Indiana the 2022 Mountain Bike Festival and Epic Ride will offer tons of flowing single track during prime Autumn riding Season. The Epic Ride with SAG support will take place on Saturday, October 8. Routes of 25 – 62 miles will be available for participants. This is not a race, just a ride in the woods with friends. Sleep in Sunday and take an easy ride before breaking camp, or stick around for the SRAM sponsored, no-drop, fun gravel ride on Sunday afternoon.

NEW FOR 2022:

This year’s event will include the newly completed West Gate Trail in Brown County State Park. We are also hopeful to have the Gnawbone Trail open for the event (currently under construction).

The trails at Brown County State Park exist because of Hoosier Mountain Bike Association (HMBA) and the many volunteers who contribute thousands of hours each year. This event supports those efforts and more. HMBA is building new trails each year and will again have some new trail open to ride for the Epic. HMBA is working on a $200,000 Next Level Trails Grant. This event and your trail donations will help HMBA provide $100,000 in matching funds to complete this grant.

For 2022 we will be returning to a full festival. Bikes, Bands, and Beer We are attempting to find some demo bikes, but due to inventory challenges, most companies are not running Demo Fleets.
