Join us for the 3rd Annual SnowBike Festival

If you've never raced or ridden a Fat Bike on snow then this is absolutely a must do event for you. If you already have a Fat Bike, well you know! Don't have a Fat Bike? No sweat - just sign up early and reserve a bike from Bearpen Mtn's rental fleet (in merchandise section).

Here's a short VIDEO from the Winter 2021 Race.

Bearpen Mountain staff uses their Snowcat to groom their trails every weekend. So expect packed snow, unless of course we get a Noreaster - of course this will just up the fun factor.

Please note in the case of significant weather related issues, backuo date for the event is March 5th.

The mountain is in the process of building out a new trail so we'll be extending the Long Course loop to almost 5 miles and approximately 750 feet elevation gain. The Snowy 15 will do 3 loops and the Snowy 7 will do 2 loops of the Short Course that removes the section across the road and one of the climbs. The Snowy Fun Guided Ride includes one loop of the course with guides and access to do a second loop.

We're working on having for sale beer or hard cider from a local brewery and hot food for post race celebration.

We are planning to tweak the course a bit and add the new trail and will have maps closer to event. But here's a good idea of the course from last year.

Please be aware that there will be other guests using the trails during the Snowy Fun Guided Ride. Please be extra mindful of other mountain visitors if you are pre-riding the course before the races - especially where trails cross.  The race course loop will be exclusively for our use during the Snowy 16 & Snowy 8 Races.

All racers must ride a Fat (3.8" or wider) or Plus Bike (2.8" or wider)- sorry no skinny tires allowed!

There are limited Fat Bike Rentals. To secure a reservation, select your bike size in the merchandise section which includes the $10 reservation fee. When picking up your Fat Bike rental you will need to complete Bearpen Mountain's waiver and pay them $20. Please plan on picking up your rental bike 30 minutes before the start of your event.

FatBike Rentals must be returned immediately after your race. That means if you rent for the Snowy 16 you must turn in the bike right after crossing the finish line as we expect many Snowy 8 racers will be renting. Likewise, rental bikes need to be back immediately after Snowy 8 so we can provide rentals for the Snowy Fun Guided Ride.

What's going to be weather & trail conditions? Perfect Race & Riding Conditions (#ToughenUp).

We will be marking the course on Saturday morning and the course will be available for pre-riding in the afternoon. Bearpen's use fee is $15 to Fat Bike on their trails. (We've covered this for race day).
