      Leyenda de los tres hermanos, Ocejón, Moncayo y Alto Rey:

      La leyenda se volcó sobre la Montaña Sagrada y es muy conocida entre los serranos de todo su entorno aquella por la que se asegura que, en tiempos muy difíciles de precisar, una madre tenía tres hijos que andaban a la gresca casi a diario. Los intentó separar para evitar mayores males, de manera que pudieran verse de continuo, pero que jamás pudieran juntarse. Los tres quedaron convertidos en montañas, cuyas cumbres se alcanzan a ver en los días de nítida transparencia; estos son El Ato Rey, el Ocejón y el Moncayo. Así mismo era de fe entre los lugareños de la comarca, la creencia de que la ermita estaba durante la noche guardada por un gato, el cuál se solía ocultar de día entre los escombros de unas ruinas cercanas, donde había una calavera cubierta con la piel de un hombre muerto.
