SaveAccessed off of Old Bainbridge Road, the western trailhead accommodates horse trailers and passenger vehicles alike. The western trailhead is NOT located on private land. This western trailhead is located on PUBLIC Leon County property. This is shown in Orchard Pond Trail's photos of both kiosk maps and the Leon Co. web links tied to this trail. Head east onto Orchard Pond Rd. off of Old Bainbridge Rd. and the trailhead is on the north side of Orchard Pond Rd. at the gate. Trailhead is located where Orchard Pond Rd. becomes the Orchard Pond Trail beyond this gate. This trailhead has 2 picnic tables and 2 trash cans under 2 large live oaks for shade.
The eastern trailhead is accessed by users of the Orchard Pond Parkway toll road. The eastern trailhead is paved and only accommodates passenger vehicles, has one trash can, and no other facilities or shade. There is one kiosk map at each trailhead.
Note: you only pay the road toll if approaching either trailhead from the east. The e-toll station is located on the east end of the toll road near Meridian Rd. No tolls when approaching the eastern trailhead from Old Bainbridge Rd. since there's no toll station on the west end of the toll road.
