The Community Forest Lands cover nearly 2,800 acres within the City of Anacortes. They encompass a mosaic of forest, wetlands, lakes and meadows coupled with the broad based desire of local citizens to act as stewards for this environmental and recreational resource.

There are 50 miles of multiple use trails in the forest lands. All trails are open to hikers with bicycles, horses and 2-wheeled motorcycles allowed in limited areas. We ask all users to recreate responsibly and share the trails. Dogs must be on a leash at all times.

Trail maps of the ACFL are available in color on water resistant paper. A set of three maps is available at City Hall, the Visitor’s Information Center and from local merchants. Online PDF versions are also available on the City of Anacortes link shown below. The maps show trail access and sanctioned usage.
