WELCOME TO THE AUBURN SKI CLUB TRAINING CENTER

The ASC Training Center is a non-profit winter sports facility dedicated to the lifelong enjoyment of winter sports for families and athletes. Due to its unique position on Donner Summit and the neighboring Boreal Mountain Resort, ASCTC is one of the few training centers in the country to offer Alpine Ski, Nordic Ski, Biathlon and Snowboard programs in one facility. Our athletes range from first-time skiers and riders to Olympic-level and U.S. Team professionals.

As a top racing and training venue in the western United States, ASCTC was named US Ski & Snowboard's Nordic Club of the Year in 2001 and 2005, and Snowboard Club of the Year in 2010. We host events in all four disciplines at both local and national levels, including high school CNISSF races, USASA events, National Championships, Super Tours, Rev Tours, and Grand Prix's. We are a U.S. Ski & Snowboard Podium Certified club.

      Downhill Ski
The Alpine Ski Team programs at ASC Training Center are built on the foundation of inspiring a lifelong passion for skiing, athletics, and the mountain environment. Our programs are structured to remove barriers and create opportunities for young athletes to grow as individuals in snow sports. Our coaching staff focuses on building fundamental skiing skills from the development teams to the competition teams. Athletes have the opportunity to participate in U.S. Ski & Snowboard age-class competitions while experiencing the pure joy of being on the snow in the mountains. Exploring the mountains on skis is like no other sport, and we invite you to join us.

All teams operate out of the ASC Training Center and in the ASC Race Arena at Boreal Resort. The race arena is our dedicated training and racing venue closed to the public, creating a safe learning environment. Additionally, night training under the lights is unique to our programs and provides additional training opportunities not found elsewhere.

If you are new to our teams, please contact the Program Director, Nick Treat, to discuss the best match for your interests and skill level.

      Nordic Ski
ASC Training Center Cross Country trails are open to the general public. Season passes are required. Our 25km trail system is groomed nightly to competition standards providing an always-perfect snow surface. Our wide, overlapping loops for all abilities keeps skiers no more than 5km from the lodge with lots of terrain options. ASCTC is a unique athletic and family-friendly experience blending recreational skiers with national ranked athletes. At 7,200 feet elevation, with legendary snowfall, our season is the longest in the Sierra.
