      The Ashburton River Trail is a network of bike tracks running along side the Ashburton River. There is a 12km loop on the north side that is used for club races and an annual 6 hour race. There is also a track from here all the way to the river mouth and a track on the south side of the river from the bridge to Lake Hood.

      Access Info:
      Best starting point is under the bridge on the north side of State Highway 1. You can also access the tracks from the ends of Melrose Road, Chalmers Ave and Trevors Road. There are no maps yet unfortunately, if unsure talk to the local bike shop (http://www.cyclerama.co.nz/)
