The Baileys Trail System is composed of purpose-built mountain bike trails that can also accommodate other human-powered uses such as hiking, backpacking, and trail running. The Baileys currently has 26 miles of completed trails with over 80 miles of total trail miles planned for a 9,000-acre parcel of land in the Wayne National Forest, located in Athens County, Ohio. When complete, the Baileys Trail System will feature trails tailored to beginner through expert mountain bikers and routes that provide incredible hikes, trail runs, and backcountry camping opportunities through an actively restored forest to classic Appalachian foothill vistas. The Baileys Trail System will have direct community connections to communities of Nelsonville, Buchtel, and Chauncey, as well as planned bikeway connectivity to the City of Athens via the 23-mile long Hockhocking Adena Bikeway.

      Access Info:
The main Baileys Trails access is from the Chauncey-Dover Community Park in Chauncey, Ohio. Access to the trails in the park is via a small stream ford on the eastside of the park. To get to the park, take a left turn (westbound) off of Ohio State Route 13 onto West Bailey Rd, and then a left into the park. Follow the paved road down to the parking area. Additional parking can be found along the train tracks and accessed via the gravel road which runs parallel to the tracks. Additional trail access points can be found along West Bailey Road, at Utah Ridge Pond, and at the Doanville-York Township Trailhead Park.
