SaveBarnes Butte is BLM and City owned land in Prineville with a mix of rocky single track XC trails and graveled or dirt footpaths. Most of the singletrack is old cow and game trails that have been ridden and run in over the years. COTA is currently in the process of inventorying and cleaning up the trail network to be more cohesive. The terrain is fantastic and there are some real gems of trails here but you should expect to encounter a maze of offshoots and no signage.
You must access the trails through the city park so be considerate of walkers and other users and keep your dogs leashed until you are up on the butte proper.
