SaveBeaty Landing safeguards land for the Grand River valley’s wildlife, including nesting bald eagles about two miles upstream, nesting and migrating songbirds that utilize the deep, cool valley of the Grand River, and a variety of mammals, insects and invertebrates that use the river.
Beaty Landing was one of the largest remaining parcels of privately-owned open space on this stretch of the Grand River. This project was funded in part by a grant from the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration supported by The Trust for Public Land.
Visitors can enjoy low-impact recreational activities such as picnicking, hiking and fishing at this park. Improvements include a parking lot, restroom and a mile-long loop trail with a scenic overlook and three access points to the Grand River.
