SaveThe Whitefish Trail is a growing network of trails just outside of town. It is a multi use trail system open to hikers, runners, horseback riders, and mountain bikers. It is mostly beginner and intermediate friendly trails. The first couple miles are always busy with the aforementioned users so please be courteous. As you get further from town there is less traffic and the trails become more geared towards mountain biking.

he Whitefish Trail is located just west of Whitefish, MT off of Highway 93.
The Lion Mountain Trail head is the Closest to town and also has the heaviest traffic. Headed west out of town as you past the Golf Course stay straight on the Lion Mountain Loop road. Follow this to the trail head.
Skyles Lake Trailhead:
3.6 miles west of downtown Whitefish on Highway 93, take a right on Skyles Lake Road. the trailhead is on your right.
Beaver Lake Trailhead:
7.4 miles west of downtown Whitefish on Highway 93, take a right on Beaver Lake Road. Follow this road for 1.5 miles past the Montana Bike Hostel and the trailhead is on your right.
North Beaver and Woods Lake Trailheads:
These can be founded by following the Beaver Lake Road further but best to just look them un on a map.
