Beaver Meadows is a large portion of National Forest to the east of Bayfield, CO. and to the North of Highway 160. This area is zoned a motorized use area, and so nearly all of the trails are open to various forms of motorized vehicles. With that being said, many of the trails in this area are also great hikes, bikes, and horseback rides. The majority of trails are doubletracks, though there are a few singletrack trails. Many of the trails also link over to the First Notch Road. Please be aware of seasonal closures throughout the area for motorized vehicles. Contact the Columbine Ranger District of the San Juan National Forest for more information.
