Transpower are working in the Caribbean Reserve. Therefore, this track is shut at times to provide for safety during works. But I was up there today and it looks like they're doing a lot of track upgrades and therefore will be running mint after they pull out in July 2020. This could provide a good alternative to Grinderton depending on what standard they grade the roads to.
