SaveBertram can probably be called MORC’s newest “old” trail. The Bertram Singletrack Trail (aka: “The Y” or “Camp Manitou”) dates back to the beginning of mtb trail riding in the twin-cities area. Now that Bertram has become a MORC supported trail look for this park to develop into one of the most exciting destinations in the MORC family of trails.
Bertram finished the master plan (May '21). There are two primary ways to ride this park. clockwise or counter clockwise around the lakes. There are probably infinite ways to repeat sections as well.
The counter clockwise loop only hits a couple of the major features in the park. It includes Two Tier skinny/drop, several dirt berms, Creek Skinny, Ski Jump (drop), Wild Thing (low skinny with teeter), Creek Drop and more. It’s an IMBA green rated trail as there are no forced features, everything is rollable or has a ride around. While longer than the clockwise loop it may be the better choice for new riders. Fastest riders should be around 40-45 minutes to complete the loop. Average riders will be just under an hour.
The clockwise loop is an IMBA blue rated route and includes all of the more technical features of the trail system. The clockwise loop will take an average rider about 45 minutes.
Both the clockwise and counter clockwise loops are filed as Routes in the routes tab.
