SaveTogether in collaboration Inland Woods +Trails, The Trust for Public Land and the Northern Forest Center, along with strong support from the Town of Bethel and area citizens, worked towards the creation of the 978 acre Bethel Community Forest. On June 18, 2019, Mahoosuc Pathways purchased the land that it now owns on behalf of the Town of Bethel, and will manage the property for conservation, recreation, and wildlife.
Community Forest Trails Guidelines
- The Forest is open for everyone to enjoy.
- No overnight camping.
- Please carry out your litter, including dog waste.
- No biking on hiking trails.
- "Tribute" bike trail is one-way (please ride clockwise).
- Park in designated parking areas only. Do not drive past the formal parking lot or park on the Daisy Bryant Road.
- In winter months, please use the parking lot on the North Road, just past Coleman Concrete on the right.

Access Info:
Turn off of the North Rd onto the Daisy Bryant Road. Take the Daisy Bryant Road until there is an option to turn right onto Locke Mountain Road and follow that until there is a big gravel parking lot on the right side of the road. Make sure to not continue past the Locke Mountain Road on the Daisy Bryant Road as it is a private road.
