      Hours: Dawn till Dusk Tuesday through Saturday. Closed on Monday to let area rest, but open on major holidays that fall on Mondays. Closed Sunday mornings untill 1:00pm for church service.

      The pavilion is open for use We have bathrooms and showers, check it out! Please do not park in the church parking lot or the area around the ONCOR transformer station.

      Big Cedar Wilderness Trails is located atop one of the most breathtaking escarpment areas in North Texas. Boasting the highest elevation in the city of Dallas, BCWT winds through cedar and hardwood forest and descends quickly into a valley in a dramatic elevation change. The valley consists mostly of mesquite trees and cactus. At this time, BCWT has ten+ loops ranging from beginner to advanced. They all come off and return to the main trail called Ranger (white). Each is marked by colored arrows. More trails are under construction.

      List of Trails in order: Posted levels of difficulty are will range according to each riders skill.

      Texas Sunset (Purple)...(this loop starts just to the left of kiosk. You can chose to do Texas Sunset first or last) Advanced

      Blue Canyon (orange inside of white, it is part of the Ranger Loop) Beginner

      Located on the property of Mountain Creek Community Church, 5950 Eagle Ford, Dallas, Texas 75249. From I-20 take Mountain Creek Parkway South to West Wheatland Road. Turn left on West Wheatland Road. Turn Left on Christie Lane (first Left). Turn Right on ISOM Road (first right). Go about 1 long block,Turn Left into NEW Parking lot through the gate. Look for the Trailhead sign. Park anyplace
