SaveThe Case Mountain Trail System is on 285 acres in the southeastern section of Manchester. The trails and property are owned and maintained by the Town of Manchester and the Manchester Conservation Commission in partnership with CFPA. This wooded area contains the summits of Case Mountain (elev. 735 ft), Lookout Mountain (elev. 744 ft), and Birch Mountain (elev. 786 ft). The system consists of more than 10 miles of interconnecting trails that feature rock formations, upland woodlands, and abundant wildlife. Many of the trails wind their way to Lookout Mountain, which provides panoramic views of the western hills and the Hartford skyline. The mountain bike trails also spill over onto water company property. The whole system can be linked up with Gay City/Blackledge, Longo Preserve/Meshomasic State Forest, and the East Coast Greenway.
