Trail Flow (Ridden Direction)
Trailforks scans users ridelogs to determine the most popular direction each trail is ridden. A good flowing trail network will have most trails flowing in a single direction according to their intension.
The colour categories are based on what percentage of riders are riding a trail in its intended direction.

SaveChimney Rock (properly known as Washington Valley Park) is a small network of rugged intermediate trails that earns its name as "The Rock" by some locals. Like its central Jersey counterpart Six Mile Run this park does not drain well so please avoid after heavy rains. A few Technical Trail Features (TTF's) were put in on the Blue and Red trails during the summer of 2009.
Since then, JORBA has done a fair bit keeping the park moving forward and working in a continual effort to build more and more sustainable trails. The trails here are continually being fixed, tweaked, and rerouted in an effort to handle the heavy traffic the. park receives.
The. park breaks down into these sections:
Blue - a solid intermediate set of trails on the western end of the park. Often ridden by doing the outer loop clockwise and cutting across the middle connector. In 2021 a new portion of that connector was built. From the bottom continue west then counter clockwise to finish up the same way you came in.
Red - a similar set of trails to blue, across from Newman's Lane from those trails. Red can be ridden in any order and should be taken in any random direction on any given day.
White - across the reservoir from red, one of the more accessible trail sets for new riders. Fun at any level, this part of the park shows the least amount of rocks than any other segment other than the ballfield trails.
Ballfield/unmarked - parking in the baseball field lot will have you closest to this short loop that is great for. warming up. Usually ridden clockwise it works in both directions. Very beginner-friendly.
Black - new trails as of 2019 going east from Gilbride along the river. Also beginner-friendly.
Yellow - the most difficult set of trails in the park especially if you head down the newer sections of High Tech. Bring your legs if you drop down to that and back up. Yellow also features the hawk watch with a wonderful view of the quarry.
Orange - usually used as a connector between Gilbride to Chimney Rock Road and the back side of the red trails. Can also be used to drop down along the river for a slightly more technical trail and tough climb out.
A solid 1.5-2 hour loop can be put together by dipping into each of these segments in some combination.
