Clifford Woods is the most natural riding area in Farmington. It receives comparatively little use to other nearby areas and its trails have no official markings. It is also the most difficult area overall to ride in Farmington. There are many unimproved stream crossings and rock gardens. In addition, there are also a number of steep hills. This is a great place to ride if you want to get away from it all and have trails all to yourself. Be aware that there are a number of private trails, unofficial trails, and winter-use trails that intersect with designated summer-use trails.
