Trail Flow (Ridden Direction)
Trailforks scans users ridelogs to determine the most popular direction each trail is ridden. A good flowing trail network will have most trails flowing in a single direction according to their intension.
The colour categories are based on what percentage of riders are riding a trail in its intended direction.

SaveNon-motorized trail network in Gorham and Moose Brook State Park. Open to mtn. bikes, trail runners, and walkers. In the winter select trails are groomed for fat biking and many trails in Moose Brook are popular for snowshoeing and bc ski tours.
Moose Brook State Park features older trails that have been rebuilt to accommodate mountain bikes as these trails were originally designed for walking/hiking. Moose Brook trails feature roots and rocks and should be considered more on the tech spectrum of mountain bike trails. There are some great downhill runs (Perimeter and Upper Borderline, especially). Perkins Path is probably the most tech trail in the park.
The network between the town and Pine Mountain, locally described as the "Pineside", are newer built trails and are on the flow trail spectrum. Most of them built by hand. There are great trails here for young and beginner riders, Pumphouse is a must do really for anyone. Pat-Down, Carry On, Baggage Claim, and Howie Roll all feature great downhill runs - all are worth the climb. For Pete's Sake is another must.
Either side can easily be linked together via access on the rail trail and the Hinchey Trail connector. With free public parking on Rte. 2 and at the bottom of Jimtown Road, trail users have limited to almost zero time on paved roads and dealing with cars/traffic.
