SaveCotter Pines is a new trail riding area for the Canberra region and is being built by the Kowalski Brothers Trailworks (volunteer trail building group). Trail building commenced in July 2018 and the first full loop of trails was opened in December 2019. Cotter Pines (or Hyles Block) comprises 360ha under plantation and is not slated for clearfall until 2036, which means a good number of years for recreation use.
