SaveCougar MTB Park is a great place to ride if you want to get away from the busy Rotorua trail network. Only a 40 minute drive from Rotorua, these trails offer an alternative and something a little different.
The Park consists of about 50km of x-country trails. Mostly flat, these trails are great for beginner and intermediate riders. Well marked, they are easy to follow.

Heading southeast from Tokoroa on State Highway 1 turn left on to Mossop Road, 500 metres past the Info Centre. Turn left again after another 500 metres – there is a big Cougar MTB Park sign indicating to turn left onto this one lane road. The trails start at the end of the road near the cricket grounds.
