From a riding perspective, the national park has a large system of forest roads that are primarily in good condition and provide access to big 500m elevation-gain climbs, great views across and off the range and multiple nice creeks, rainforest sections and swimming holes. The northern Mount Mee section also contains many forest roads and viewpoints. This includes great views from Somerset Lookout on the western escarpment of Mount Byron/Mee, the expansive Rocky Hole waterhole that is popular for swimming and Bulls Falls/lookout. The southern section is home to long ridgeline climbs up to over 700m, clear flowing creeks, wet rainforest sections around Mt Nebo and Mt Glorious, and access through to the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail via a network of dry country tracks through paddocks and farmland off the western side of the range heading towards Fernvale.
The section between Mt Nebo and Mt Coot-tha is most commonly ridden as it is easily accessed by Brisbane residents. South Boundary Road is the main drag, featuring a 20km rolling climb up to Mt Nebo from Gap Creek/Mt Coot-tha. Many tracks can be explored coming off South Boundary however, with a variety of steep forest roads running across the valley between South Boundary and Mount Nebo Road, with some nice creek crossings down at the bottom at Enoggera Creek. There's also Mermaid Mountain in the south-western corner, with access to summit views across Lake Manchester and out to the west.

(taken from QLD parks website) - D'Aguilar National Park (formerly Brisbane Forest Park) totals approximately 36,000ha, protecting the core of the D'Aguilar Range’s vast bushland area. Discover remote gorges, sheltered pockets of subtropical rainforest, expanses of eucalypt woodland and spectacular views to Moreton Bay, all within an hour and a half's drive of Brisbane.

Camping available at a network of remote bush camps in the southern section, and properly outfitted campsites in the Mt Mee section. Book online

      Access Info:
Mostly accessed from Mount Coot-tha or Gap Creek where the range starts closest to Brisbane CBD. Can also be accessed from Mount Nebo or Mount Glorious townships which have cafes and access to the forest track networks. Gold Creek and Enoggera Reservoir parking areas are also convenient.

Northern Mt Mee section can be accessed from Mt Mee via Peggs Rd or Dayboro by climbing up from Laceys Creek Rd. The Gantry day-use area is a great location to park and easily access the forest tracks and ride to Somerset Lookout or Rocky Hole. For more adventurous cyclists, Mt Mee section can be accessed from the southern D'Aguilar section (Nebo, Glorious etc) from Wivenhoe outlook where Range Road extends all the way to Mt Mee.
      Disclaimer:
No permit required. Camp sites must be booked before use. Dogs are not permitted in the national park. Dirtbikes and 4WDs operate on some forest roads in the northern Mt Mee section (not in the southern section)
