From Barnhartvale, access the trailhead from Barnhartvale Road off Eliza Road. There are two small parking areas at the Eliza Road entrance. There is a third, little used entrance off of Blackwell Road, with a small parking area nearby.
The trails on the west side of the fence are managed by the City of Kamloops with the support of the Friends of the Dallas-Barnhartvale Nature Park, while the trails on the east side of the fence are on a grazing lease on Crown Land, managed by the Barnhartvale Horse & Hiker Trail Preservation Society, under an agreement between BC Lands,the Society, and the grazing lease holder. Please leave all gates as you find them.
These trails are horse-friendly, and other users should observe proper etiquette around horses. Mountain bikers must dismount and move off to the side to let horses pass.
