Smooth flowy single track in the Sam Houston national forest winds through pine trees with occasional open sections. Allow at least a week to dry out after a major rain as shaded areas take time to dry out.

Approximately a 1 hr drive from downtown houston. Day use fee is 7 dollars per car paid in a cash envelope at the main entrance on the honor system as there is no ranger station. Showers and restrooms are available which you'll need if riding between May and October as even though most of the trail is shaded it still gets exceeding hot by mid morning.

Please ride the DLRA trail clockwise to avoid crashing into others on blind turns.
