North and South segments of the South Whiteshell Trail are part of the Trans Canada Trail network. These trails and their off-shoots are wide, groomed, gravel surface paths perfect for walk or easy bike ride.

The South Shore Trail terminates at High Lake and is connected to the Falcon Trails Resort network of mountain bike and hiking, cross country ski trails via the Chattermark connector trail (wide groomed gravel surface) and Teagans Connector, a single track mountain bike trail.
